Mail order vs Winnipeg stores and same-day delivery
Winnipeg has licensed private stores and several same-day delivery services, some running late at night. Use them if you need something within the hour. Mail order is better value for ounces and bulk, high-dose edibles above the 10 mg legal cap, and AAAA strains that local stores may not carry.
Licensed stores in Winnipeg are regulated by the Liquor, Gaming and Cannabis Authority of Manitoba (LGCA). Bud Cargo is a mail-order dispensary and is not a provincially licensed retailer, so read our guide on licensed retailers vs mail order before you decide.
Cannabis rules in Winnipeg and Manitoba
Manitoba sets the legal age at 19, a year older than Alberta. Adults can carry up to 30 g of dried cannabis (or the equivalent) in public under federal law. Manitoba is one of the few provinces that does not allow home growing of non-medical cannabis, so buying is the only legal way to get it. Smoking and vaping cannabis in most public outdoor places is also restricted in Manitoba.
