What are moon rocks?

Moon rocks are built in three layers: a bud of flower at the centre, coated in cannabis oil, then rolled in kief until the surface is completely covered. Each layer adds concentrate, which is why moon rocks test far above ordinary flower — commonly well over 50% THC.

How to smoke moon rocks

Do not put them through a grinder. The oil coating gums up the teeth and you lose a lot of the kief to the sides — break the rock apart by hand instead, or with scissors.

They burn slowly and unevenly because of the oil, so they work better sprinkled into a bowl or joint alongside regular flower than smoked alone. That also moderates the dose, which is worth doing the first time.

Go slow. A little genuinely does last a long way here. Store them cold and sealed so the oil layer does not soften and stick.
