Golden is hybrid. Concentrated into hash the profile comes through as warm earthy spice with a sweet resinous edge, and the character people describe is smooth and rounded. Extraction tends to sharpen terpenes rather than soften them, so the flavour reads more intensely here than it does in flower.

What is hash?

Hash is the oldest cannabis concentrate there is — trichomes separated from the plant and pressed into a solid block. Unlike shatter or budder there is no solvent involved: the resin is separated mechanically, by sieving or with ice water, then compressed.

That makes hash noticeably different from modern extracts. It is less potent than a solvent extract but keeps a fuller, rounder flavour, and it burns rather than needing to be dabbed.

How to use it

Hash is flexible. It can be crumbled into a joint or bowl with flower, smoked on its own in a pipe, or vaporised. Warming a piece briefly between your fingers makes it soft enough to break up cleanly.

Because it burns well alongside flower, hash is the easiest concentrate to work into an existing routine — no rig, no torch, no learning curve.

Store it wrapped and cool. Hash dries out and hardens with air exposure, which makes it crumbly and harder to work with.
