Why it is called Black D.O.G.

The name comes from how it looks. Black D.O.G. produces super fluffy, oversized nugs that are rock hard to the touch — a deep forest green so dark it reads almost black, run through with thin clear hairs. Vivid white crystal trichomes cover the surface and contrast sharply against the rich undertones in the leaves.

It is one of the better-looking flowers on the menu, and appearance is a real part of what the AAAA+ grade is measuring.

What kind of high is Black D.O.G.?

Heavily physical. At roughly 85% indica there is very little sativa lift here — it goes straight to the body and stays there. This is evening flower without qualification.

What does it smell and taste like?

Sweet dark berry from the Blackberry Kush parent, sitting over the earthy, resinous depth of Emerald Headband. Rich and heavy rather than bright.

What AAAA+ actually means

AAAA+ sits at the top of the Canadian grading scale. It is a judgement about how the flower was grown, cured and trimmed rather than a lab number: dense, properly dried buds, hand-trimmed rather than machine-cut, a heavy trichome coat, and terpenes strong enough that you smell the jar before it is fully open. How to store it

Keep it in an airtight glass jar, cool, dark and at roughly 55–62% relative humidity. Flower stored that way holds its terpenes and potency for months; flower left in a bag in a warm room dries out and goes harsh within weeks — and with AAAA+ the terpene profile is most of what you paid for, so it is worth protecting.
