ILU Deep Re-Leaf Muscle & Joint Balm

The largest format in ILU’s Deep Re-Leaf line — a balm rather than a gel or a spray. Balms are wax-based, which means they sit on the surface where you put them and do not spread or run, and they take longer to absorb than a lighter-textured product.

How balms differ from the rest of the line

The same brand sells a gel and a pump spray. The gel absorbs quickly and feels light; the spray covers a wide or awkward-to-reach area without rubbing; the balm is the thickest of the three and the most precise to apply. Choosing between them is a question of texture and coverage, not of strength.

Applying a topical

Small amount, clean and dry unbroken skin, and give it time. Wash your hands afterwards unless you have treated your hands. Follow the label on the product rather than a general rule, because concentrations vary a great deal between a face cream and a body balm.

What topicals are and are not

Applied externally rather than inhaled or swallowed. CBD topicals are non-intoxicating. Do not apply to broken skin, and if you are pregnant, nursing or taking medication, speak to a pharmacist or physician before adding any cannabis product to your routine.

Storage

Cool, dry, lid closed, out of direct sun — as with any cream.
