A 500 mg cartridge from Puro Alto. Note the unit: this is labelled by cannabinoid content in milligrams rather than by volume in millilitres, which is a different convention from most of the vape category and worth understanding before comparing prices.

Millilitres versus milligrams

Volume tells you how much liquid you get; milligrams tell you how much cannabinoid is in it. A 1 mL cartridge and a 500 mg cartridge are not directly comparable without knowing the potency of the first or the volume of the second. When comparing carts, work out cost per milligram if the figures are available — it is the only fair comparison.
