Why a sativa base is the less common choice

Handling them

Break by hand or with scissors — never a grinder, which the extract layer will gum up completely and then transfer to everything you grind afterwards. Most people crumble a little into a bowl of ordinary flower rather than packing moon rocks alone, since they burn slowly and unevenly.

Storage

Cool and sealed. Warmth makes the extract layer tacky and the kief sheds into the bottom of the jar — still usable, just less impressive.
