Kabul Afghan Hash

Hash is the oldest cannabis concentrate there is — the plant’s resin, separated from the flower and pressed. Afghan-style hash is the traditional end of that spectrum: hand-processed, dense, dark, and pliable rather than crumbly. It is sold here from a single gram up through 3.5 g, 7 g, 14 g and a full 28 g.

How hash differs from modern concentrates

Shatter, live resin and distillate are made with solvents and equipment. Hash is mechanical — resin separated by hand, sieve or water, then pressed. That matters in practice: hash keeps more of the whole-plant character and burns rather than needing to be vaporised at a precise temperature, which is why it works in formats no modern concentrate does.

Using it

The simplest route is crumbling a small amount into a joint alongside flower, which is how it has been used for centuries. It also works on top of a bowl, in a pipe, or in a vaporiser rated for concentrates. Traditional Afghan hash is soft enough to work with your fingers; if a piece has gone firm, a few seconds of gentle warmth makes it pliable again.

Storage

Cool, dark and wrapped. Hash is far more stable than most concentrates — properly stored it keeps for a very long time without the texture changes that shatter goes through — but heat will soften it into a mess and light degrades it like anything else.
