An ounce is 28 grams — around 56 half-gram joints, or roughly a month for someone smoking a gram a day. At $74 that works out to about $2.64 per gram, which sits near the top of our ounce range of roughly $39 to $100.

Ounce deals are sold as a full 28 g ounce only. We do not break them into eighths, quarters or half ounces — the flat ounce price is the entire point of the deal and it is what keeps the per-gram cost where it is. The name is the lineage

Black DOG spells out its own parentage. The “Black” is Blackberry Kush. The “D.O.G.” points at the OG Kush running through the other parent, Emerald Headband — which was itself created by crossing California Sour Diesel with Emerald OG.

Follow that back and you land on Blackberry Kush, Sour Diesel and OG Kush: three of the most established names in cannabis. Black DOG is a fairly modern strain assembled almost entirely from classics.

What does Black DOG smell and taste like?

Sweet dark berry from the Blackberry Kush side, meeting the diesel and fuel character that comes down through the Sour Diesel and OG halves. Fruit and gas together rather than one dominating — which is the point of the cross.

How to keep an ounce fresh

Get it out of the bag it ships in. An airtight glass jar kept cool, dark and around 55–62% relative humidity holds flavour and potency for months, while a bag left in a warm room turns dry and harsh within weeks. If you are working through the ounce slowly, split it across two jars so you are not airing out the whole supply every time you open it.
