Why only 5% here

Because ounce deals are already the cheapest per gram on the menu before any discount is applied. The mix and match tiers exist to flatten the per-gram penalty on small sizes — 20% on eighths, 15% on quarters — and at the ounce there is very little penalty left to flatten. The 5% is a genuine saving on an already-low base rather than a correction.

When multiple ounces make sense

Two ounces of different strains gives you rotation, which most regular buyers prefer to a single strain for weeks on end. It also clears the free shipping threshold comfortably — shipping is free over $150, and any two-ounce order will exceed that on its own.

Storing several ounces

This is where storage stops being optional. Airtight glass per strain, cool, dark, no fridge. Flower held properly keeps its aroma for months; held badly it is noticeably flat within weeks, and at this volume that is a real waste.
