Kryptonite AAAA

Kryptonite is a AAAA-grade flower carrying one of the older naming traditions in cannabis — the comic-book and pop-culture names that predate the dessert era. Strains from that period tend toward the heavier, more classically pungent end of the spectrum rather than sweet.

Judging flower by eye

At the AAAA tier there are a few things worth actually looking at. Trichome coverage is the frosted, crystalline look across the surface — more is generally better. Pistil colour should be a warm orange or rust rather than pale. Density matters: a properly grown and cured bud has weight to it and springs back slightly rather than crumbling or squashing. And the aroma should be obvious the moment the container opens.

Why grade and price track each other

AAAA flower costs more because the inputs cost more — slower drying, longer curing, careful hand trimming, and more of the harvest rejected. It is not a potency label, which is why a well-grown AAA can outperform an indifferent AAAA on the shelf.
