Granddaddy Purple – Oz Deal – AAAA

What a $110 ounce of Granddaddy Purple gets you

An ounce is 28 grams — around 56 half-gram joints, or roughly a month for someone smoking a gram a day. At $110 that is about $3.93 per gram, which sits near the top of our ounce range of roughly $39 to $110.

Ounce deals are sold as a full 28 g ounce only. We do not break them into eighths, quarters or half ounces — the flat ounce price is the entire point of the deal. If you want a smaller amount of this same strain, it is also stocked as premium flower from an eighth upward.

Our grams in an ounce guide covers how the weights compare, and the AAA vs AAAA grading guide explains what the letter grades describe.

Why Granddaddy Purple is iconic

GDP has been a fixture since 2003, which in a market that turns over every season is remarkable. It crosses Purple Urkle with Big Bud, and it is as much a visual strain as a smoked one — the large, dense buds run a deep purple and are covered in crystal trichomes.

For a lot of people GDP is the reference point for what purple cannabis should look and taste like.

What kind of high is GDP?

Deeply relaxing and physically weighted, as the indica dominance suggests. It is an evening strain and a well-established one — if you want something dependable rather than novel, this is it.

How to keep an ounce fresh

Get it out of the bag it ships in. An airtight glass jar kept cool, dark and around 55–62% relative humidity holds flavour and potency for months, while a bag left in a warm room turns dry and harsh within weeks. Split it across two jars if you are working through it slowly.
