Think of Tangie as a variation on a theme. It’s basically a reworking of Tangerine Dream, but with different genetics. Tangie is a cross of California Orange, an even sativa/indica hybrid, and a Skunk strain, while

Tangerine Dream is a combo of A5 and the legendary G-13. Though they don’t share many genes, the two Tangerines share a strong, sweet flavor reminiscent of tangerines and other citrus fruits. Tangie is sativa-heavy, and though the exact ratio of sativa to indica is unclear, it’s probably at least 70:30. That means an uplifting cerebral high with enhanced creativity and euphoria, plus a focused boost of happiness. It’s good for treating several disorders, though specifics are hard to come by: nausea, anxiety, lack of appetite, and depression.

The only widely reported problems are bloodshot eyes and dry mouth, so this may be a good choice for patients sensitive to side effects. Maximum THC levels of more than 22% make this a potent choice for patients who have been smoking marijuana for some time; it may be overpowering for first-timers. Look for Tangie in Colorado and Arizona, and on the West Coast.

Description

At one time, Tangie Orange dominated ten competitions within a single year.

With tens of thousands of hybrids over the decades, for a particular strain to win even one is already a big feat.

But Tangie will have none of that. All it knows is to conquer anything and everything in its path.

When not winning an award here and there, across continents, the strain is overwhelming its users.

It does so by delivering an energizing and euphoric buzz.

Tangie Orange comes from two incredible lines of cannabis.

On one side, there is California Orange, a strain known for its outrageous highly desirable aroma.

Furthermore, it is also notable for the clear-headed high it induces.

On the other side, there is the family of Skunk. Although it was not explicitly mentioned, the consensus is that it is likely the first phenotype.

Since its release some 40 years ago, Skunk No. 1 has already spawned so many other hybrids.

It is also famous for having a distinct odor that some people have likened to its namesake.

Also, it is one of the best strains that energizes users without the haziness that occurs with others.

In combining the genetics of California Orange and Skunk No. 1, the result is Tangie.

With regards to its availability, several seedbanks breed this strain. But the quality, potency, and flavors vary from one seller to the next.

People who are unfamiliar with the effects of Tangie are often caught off guard. In many ways, before lighting one up, the fantastic aroma puts people at ease. But this strain is far from innocent as its scent suggests.

Being Sativa-dominant, the electrifying euphoric buzz comes surging in at its onset. In turn, it uplifts the spirit and helps in clearing the head. Friends within a group sharing the weed should find themselves having lively conversations. The overwhelming sense of happiness should keep it fun and exciting.

While the strain does its thing up there, there is also the matter of down there. Tangie has a smaller Indica side. It gradually washes down all over the body. This, in turn, causes the muscles, and eventually the users, to feel calm. Potent enough to provide some medical benefits, it is also weak in that it does not cause a couch-lock.

For most people, they should be able to do tasks better. That is because Tangie helps boost creative thinking. Enhancing that is the temporary increase in energy and a heightened sense of focus.

The sweet and sour scent of orange is unmistakable. Because of this, most people will find its aroma naturally pleasant and very enticing. In some ways, the citrusy odor already conditions the mind to expect a relaxing but very cerebral experience.

Thanks to the influence of California Orange, its heritage is evident not only in the odor it emits but also in its flavors. Hence, in the discussion on the best-tasting strains with a fruity taste, Tangie belongs to that conversation.

Feeling happy and euphoric, muscles relaxed, it is more than enough to wipe away stress. Depression, PTSD, ADD/ADHD and other mental health disorders are challenging to manage. Tangie, by no means, is a treatment or cure, but its mood-altering trait may help make it easier to deal with these conditions.

The Indica side of Tangie Orange, as it works its way to the body, soon induces body relaxation. In a small way, it may also help in pain relief for mild cases. Because it is relatively weak, its effects do not hinder people such as causing laziness. As such, the energy-boosting effects of the Sativa side is not compromised or negated. In this way, Tangie helps combat fatigue.

Wow! The smell and taste definitely live up to its name. It’s a smooth smoke, with an orangey/peachy aftertaste. Fluffs up a lot when it’s ground and burns nicely when rolled. A lovely heady high that eases my mood. Would be good as a social puff too.
